Sasha likes to compare herself to a chameleon. Having grown up in four different cultures, including Korean and Russian, she gained a special superpower to adapt to various environments, speak multiple languages, and make friends with those who were different from her.  Life as a Third Culture Kid (TCK) was full of adventures, but also challenging at times. Like a chameleon that adapts and thrives, Sasha bounced back from difficulties and came out stronger and more resilient.

Sasha completed her Master of Arts in TESOL at Biola University and worked as an International Student and Scholar Advisor at UC Berkeley helping visitors from all over the world. In 2015, she gave birth to her first child, and it was through the journey of motherhood that she began to see the world with childlike wonder again. Reconnecting with her inner child not only helped her embrace her new identity as a mother but also sparked her long-forgotten joy of storytelling through art. Sasha is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and is thrilled to debut her first picture book as an illustrator. You can see more of her work by visiting her page on Instagram: @sashkinart.
